Come on out and join us at Poe’s Tavern for an evening of food and fun to benefit ‘Reelin’ for Research’ for the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL and PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH
Reelin’ for Research is a year round fundraising campaign that culminates with an offshore fishing tournament in April out of Morehead City. This year is the 10th annual tournament so please come help us make it the best fundraising year ever!
100% of funds raised through Reelin’ for Research events and donations go directly to the UNC Children’s Hospital and Pediatric Cancer Research!
Over the past 9 years since it’s inception, Reelin’ for Research has raised over $2.5 million dollars for Pediatric Cancer Research.
Team “Jim Dandy” has partnered with Poe’s Tavern to host this event to help their team raise funds and awareness for the children and families affected by childhood cancer.
We dedicate our fundraising efforts in honor of Drew Blalock (pictured above) and Stella Menius, both who are patients of the UNC Children’s Hospital.
Stella was diagnosed with Leukemia as a toddler and is currently in remission!
Drew was also diagnosed with Leukemia at an early age and while doing well, is still undergoing daily Chemo medicines at home and travels to UNC once a month for additional treatments.
Poe’s WILL BE DONATING 20% of all sales this evening to Reelin’ for Research!
We will have live music, raffles and silent auction items and will also be accepting general donations to R4R.
