Public Safety Notice. Here’s something to consider for a bit before entering the water. Florence floodwaters alone will have tons of pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites), in addition to the 5.5 million gallon sewage spill from the Southside wastewater treatment plant, and coal ash pond and hog lagoons breached – all making their way into the Atlantic Ocean eventually. Please consider all this before you decide if/when to get back in the water. I’ll try to keep everyone updated with pages and links once I get the best info. Be safe.
