In 1987, a fun-loving, life-of-the-party Kim Swicegood—“Kimbob” moved to Wrightsville Beach (WB) to attend college. This town has never been the same!

 

Twenty-two years later, she is still the same girl we’ve always loved only she’s all grown up and battling the complicated Lyme disease that she contracted in her early twenties. You may have met Kimbob years ago on the beach at Vito’s, where she delivered pizzas for years, you may have lived with her in one of her many houses at WB, or you may have shopped at her awesome consignment shop on Wrightsville Ave. “Twicegoods.” Maybe you met her at Plato’s Closet where she has worked on and off for the past few years. All of us with the pleasure to know Kimbob have witnessed a real-life angel who has helped us all to live a little better by laughing more and complaining less and always having a good time!

 

Several of her close friends have created this FUNDRAISING EVENT AND DONATION DRIVE in hopes of being able to present Kim with a sizable donation to her medical expenses.  Although Kim herself is not able to be in communication with her friends while treatment is ongoing, it's an important time for all of us to pull together and help her pay for the very expensive treatments she is receiving in Fairfax, Virginia, to battle the Lyme disease, which is now in her brain.

 

Please join us for a night of food, beer, live music and a guaranteed fabulous time! Kimbob will be in treatments and won't be able to attend this event, but she will be there in spirit and love!

100% of the ticket sales and any additional donations will go directly to Kim as a gift from all of us who love her and wish her well.  We know that Kim and her close family will be very thankful for all the donations raised in her honor.
