Fish People Documentary to benefit Surfer's Healing

FISHPEOPLE

A Film About Lives Transformed by the Sea on Thursday June 8th at 7pm at Wrightsville Manor at 1952 Allen's Lane Wilmington, NC 28403

To some, the ocean is a fearsome place.  But to others, it’s a limitless world of fun, freedom and opportunity where life can be lived to the full.  A new documentary presented by Patagonia and directed by Keith Malloy, FISHPEOPLE tells the stories of a unique cast of characters who have dedicated their lives to the sea.  From surfers and spearfishers to a long-distance swimmer, a former coal miner and a group of at-risk kids, it’s a film about the transformative effects of time spent in the ocean—and how we can leave our limitations behind to find deeper meaning in the saltwater wilderness that lies just beyond the shore.

Please come join us for this special opportunity to premier Keith Malloy’s latest film, FISHPEOPLE, and support the Wrightsville Beach chapter of Surfers Healing.  All proceeds from the night’s event will go to benefit Surfers Healing.  Surfers Healing’s mission is to enrich the lives of people living with autism by exposing them to the unique experience of surfing.  Each year, Wrightsville Beach plays hosts a camp of over 100 children living with autism, providing one perfect day in the water and on the beach.
