**This course is for anyone interested in learning how to freedive using proper technique, understanding the physiology associated with breath hold training and most importantly understanding how to be safe and prepared in case of a breath hold related emergency. This is a skills based course and is for both beginners and advanced freedivers / spearfishermen and women who have not been formally trained. Supervision by an instructor to fine tune technique and keep it safe will ensure that when you leave the class you are better prepared, have more fun and a sound understanding and respect for breath hold training and the ocean. This course will greatly improve your bottom time and ability to relax. Course cost is $495 and includes the boat fee. Open ocean training conducted 25 miles offshore NC. ***For those traveling to Puerto Rico this winter, the F.I.I. Waterman Survival Extended Course dates are December 12-15 in Rincon, PR. This is the Level 1 Course and the Waterman Survival course combined to offer students the opportunity to learn how to freedive safely but also move right into advanced CO2 tolerance training applicable to being better prepared for hold downs surfing and other possible breath hold emergencies in the open ocean.
