There are definitely waves out there but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend paddling out. There is some size to the surf now but the chop, wind, and drift are making the conditions pretty much unrideable. You could probably make the paddle out if you really wanted to, but with the drift, you’d be halfway down the beach by the time you made it out. The wind should start backing off closer to sunset, but I don’t think it will die down enough to drastically improve the conditions. I think the best call would be to just relax today and save up your energy for tomorrow and the weekend. Have a great afternoon and check back tomorrow for the sunrise report.
