It looks like we still have a little wave behind the shop now. It’s mostly coming in around the knee high range with some sets maybe pushing thigh. Some of the bigger ones would crumble on the outside but most of them were breaking pretty close to the beach. No one out surfing but there were a few people out in the water. Definitely put some thought into deciding if it’s worth going in the water or not now though. I would be safe and wait awhile for everything to clean up. It’s not worth getting sick. Not trying to scare anyone but please read below for your safety. Florence floodwaters alone will have tons of pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites), in addition to the 5.5 million gallon sewage spill from the Southside wastewater treatment plant, and coal ash pond and hog lagoons breached – all making their way into the Atlantic Ocean eventually. Please consider all this before you decide if/when to get back in the water. Be safe.
