A few waves breaking on the outside now. Very crumbly and soft looking but a few were longboardable. That new midbreak to shorebreak connection was linking up fairly well. Hopefully the water will clean up soon so we can give it a go. Still no one in the water that I could see. A little strong odor coming from the ocean this afternoon… A few people still on the beach enjoying the sunshine. If you’ve got nothing else going on today, swing by WB Brewery for their fundraiser. Love music, fresh food, and good vibes all for a good cause. Sweetwater’s got a tent sent up there and passing along the fun times. Check back tomorrow for any changes. Enjoy the rest of the day. Not trying to scare anyone but please read below for your safety. Florence floodwaters alone will have tons of pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites), in addition to the 5.5 million gallon sewage spill from the Southside wastewater treatment plant, and coal ash pond and hog lagoons breached – all making their way into the Atlantic Ocean eventually. Please consider all this before you decide if/when to get back in the water. Be safe and we will do our best to try and keep you updated. *Sweetwater’s All For Fall Sale!
