If you don’t like reading bad news then stop reading right now. Even a perennially stoked beach bum would have a hard time finding joy in the waves we have on tap right now. The wind has almost doubled in speed since this morning and that in turn has put a lot of texture on the water. Some of the better sandbars are producing a few knee high waves, but they are closing out very quickly. You might be able to snag a few shorebreak waves but I would keep the expectations low and the volume high. That being said, it is extremely hot outside and I could think of worst ways to spend the afternoon than bobbing around in the water. Have a great rest of the afternoon and see you tomorrow. *Oneill/Sweetwater Pro-am is set for Aug. 16-18! Deadline is tonight! Register at surfsignup.com!*
