Mid-Morning Update: Looked half way decent out there now, some waves in the waist, maybe bigger range. Still seems all over the place with the NNE wind but you could snag a few good ones if you are in the right spot. I would get out there and surf if I could, just be patient and do the "drift" for awhile. Check back later for another update.
To all the new UNCW and CFCC students…welcome from a UNCW alumnus. However, please be respectful and wear your leash. You didn't live through the 2 block surf zone we use to have so please follow the rules of the beach so that everyone who accesses the beach is safe. Wearing a leash is a sacrifice we made to open up the beach for more surfing area. Wearing your leash protects other surfers and swimmers. It's also a $250 fine. Also, please leave any attitudes out of the water. If you were a pro we'd be watching you on the computer surfing against Slater. Being respectful isn't just for the college students. That goes for everyone. Thanks for understanding and enjoy a special place to live. Click on links directly below to learn about surfing regulations in WB and surfing etiquette.
