Lunch-time Update: Surf Zones are officially over but you still have to keep your distance from the piers and wear a leash. It doesn't look as fun as earlier but there is still a decent wave coming in. The wind has picked up out of the south giving it some more texture and drift to it. It's also got that mid-break to shorebreak look right now and shutting down pretty quickly. Definitely need to be in the right spot to have fun. A few guys out up the beach chilling in a rip current but didn't see them catch anything. I would go look around the island before you go. Have fun if you surf! Caution while surfing Oceanic Pier. Mention the surf report and get 15% off any new board that isn't yellow tagged.
Surfing Code Of Ethics! Surfboard leashes are required year round in Wrightsville Beach. Please follow the rules and wear leashes on all surfboards ALL THE TIME. If you forget your leash just stop by Sweetwater and leave your license to borrow one.
