Afternoon Update: It doesn't seem to be as big as earlier, probably due to the falling tide. It's really windy too, so the drift is going to be a factor in how many waves you can catch. There are some sets rolling in every so often, but it's going to be tough to find a good corner. The contest is still going on right behind the shop, so keep that in mind when coming down to surf Check back later for updates. Caution while surfing Oceanic Pier due to missing pilings at end of pier. Mention the surf report and get 15% off any new board that isn't yellow tagged.
Surfing Code Of Ethics! Surfboard leashes are required year round in Wrightsville Beach. Please follow the rules and wear leashes on all surfboards ALL THE TIME. If you forget your leash just stop by Sweetwater and leave your license to borrow one.
