Mid-morning Update: Pretty similar concept as earlier this morning but the tide is really hiding the swell now. The few that do break on the outside are pretty soft and mush out quickly. There's an okay mid-break spot up the beach where you can get a turn or two in just before it dumps right on the beach. I just got out and caught a few fun ones when I was first out there riding my Firewire Nano. I would grab something with a bit more float now if you're looking to go out there. The air is fairly chilly but it's pretty tolerable since the water isn't that cold yet. Giving it 2.5 logos cause you still could get a decent wave even though it's super deep and pretty cold. Go check for a decent high tide spot and have fun. Enjoy the rest of the day.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the 10th Annual Hope From Helen Surf Silent Auction Friday night. What a great turnout of friends and family. A big "Thank You" goes out to my family for helping, the volunteers, the people who donated, Tower 7 staff, Blockade Runner crew, L and L, Stutz media, and The Midatlantic Band, and Kelly Barnes of Coastal Concierge. With their help it was and amazing team of people to pull off such a large event. Thanks for helping us make a difference
