Hello again WB Live Surf checkers, long time no see. Hope everyone’s safe and on the recovery side of things. Small signs of swell rolling through but it’s still fairly deep looking even though low tide is only 2 hours away. Saw one okay wave break on the outside for a log and a few sets crumble a little. Everything else was breaking right on shore. No one out in the water, still probably a good idea since water quality is not good. A few people roaming around the beach this morning. Saw some really fun waves up in OBX this morning so maybe if you’ve got the time, I’d scoot up there if you’ve got the time. Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy the rest of the day. Sweetwater is open today 10am-5pm and Sunday 11am-5pm. We plan to be open 10am-5pm next week as well.*Sweetwater’s Post Flo Sales! Check the news section for what’s going on at the shop!* Not trying to scare anyone but please read below for your safety. Florence floodwaters alone will have tons of pathogens (bacteria, viruses, parasites), in addition to the 5.5 million gallon sewage spill from the Southside wastewater treatment plant, and coal ash pond and hog lagoons breached – all making their way into the Atlantic Ocean eventually. Please consider all this before you decide if/when to get back in the water. Be safe.
