Mid-morning Update: There are still waves even though the chop and drift are taking some of the fun out of it. I surfed for a while and got a good amount of waves, but only 3 or 4 were okay. It's mostly thigh high with some waist high sets. If you wait long enough there were some stomach high peaks. The chop and easterly wind keep most of the longer lines closing out. You kind of have to surf like a grom to get much out of 'em. That means lots of paddling and pumping. A few of the guys on logs were getting some long rides, cruisie rides so maybe something heavy and thicker could be the way to go. Check back later for more updates.
The surf and swim zones are officially over now so enjoy the beach strand. The rules regarding surfing too close to the piers and wearing your leashes do still apply though. Complimentary parking at Robert's Grocery's for SW customers. Surfing Code Of Ethics!
