Afternoon Update: I managed to make it out in between rain clouds. The swell is holding up to the predicted size however the wind is absolutely destroying the surface conditions. The drift looks horrific. I only saw one guy attempting to paddle out near mercers and he didn't seem to be having much luck. There were a few decent sized peaks with a possible rideable face but they were few and far between the closeouts. I wouldn't expect anything different for the rest of the day. Keep an eye on tomorrow. Don't forget to stop by the shop and snag a wetsuit for 30% off. Have a great rest of the day and try to stay dry and warm.
