Afternoon Update: Still got some decent sized surf but the wind has picked up a little more. Some of the bigger sets have a fairly mushy take-off until it gets to the inside and breaks a little faster. Two guys out up the beach moving this way real quick. They were catching some of the smaller sets that were lining up a little better. The rain had backed off for a bit while I was out there. Seems like some of the ice has started to thaw but I would still keep an eye out for some. Also note that our weather station is a little slow in the cold. It's reading the wind speed a lot less than it actually is. Sweetwater will be closing early at 5 pm today, so call us before you head down here. Check back tomorrow for any changes. Be careful on the roads there is some black ice out there! We'll keep you posted on Sweetwater store hours today. Be safe and stay warm.
